About Us
The man behind Nitro Motorsports is Nick Tucker. Nick quickly rose to the top levels of motorsports and all the way up to the NASCAR Xfinity Series. He has amassed a winning career in various disciplines, including NASCAR, Late Models, Sprint Cars, Legends, and karts, on road courses, oval, dirt, and asphalt. He is the founder and owner of Nitro Kart, the winningest team in modern karting. He’s trained his drivers for dozens of National Championships and multiple World Championships. His resume speaks volumes to his talent as a driver, coach, and organizer for winning programs.
It is no secret that NASCAR, the premier racing program in the USA, is holding a growing number of races on road courses. Many of the top-tier drivers in NASCAR have expressed the need for current and future NASCAR drivers to have robust road course experience. At the same time, Road Course racing is rapidly growing in popularity. The Trans Am Series is seeing a record number of entries and interest and is the hot spot for road course racing.
Based out of Charlotte, right next to Charlotte Motor Speedway, Nitro is centrally located in the motorsports industry. The Trans Am TA2 car is the perfect platform to give elite drivers a purpose-built race car to refine their craft while remaining an economical solution for aspiring pros. On the other side of the program, Nick Tucker and Nitro Motorsports have also launched a four-car Toyota GR Cup North America program to showcase their drivers’ abilities across multiple disciplines. Moving up from both of those programs, Nitro Motorsports has partnered with Venturini Motorsports to have a pair of entries in the ARCA Menards Series, providing an internal ladder from karts all the way through the NASCAR development stages.
Nitro Motorsports offer solutions for anybody wanting to drive an ARCA Menards Series, Trans Am TA2 or Toyota GR86 Cup car. Complete arrive and drive solutions are available with mechanics and equipment for track days and series events. We also offer test days to see which program is right for you and extended programs for driver development. We have a growing list of coaches for you to work with. All of this can be done with our car or yours.
